I can't even begin to tell you how hard it is to vector crystal ponies. I now know why they had very few background crystal ponies.

I'm not sure why there haven't been many vectors of the mane 6 crystal ponies from the new episodes yet, so I decided to start working on one for more people to use. Also it was a bit of curiosity to try and figure out how they actually made crystal ponies digitally. Took me about a dozen tries to get the crystal effect just right.

**Update, toned down the darker areas of the crystal effect. Looks a lot more clean now. Sorry, theres really no guides on how to make these**

how do u make a crystal pony?

1. Acquire Photoshop or illustrator.
2. Begin horse vector
3. Rage at crystal shapes not looking right
4. Cry in corner
5. Put nicholas cage face on top of vector
6. Cry some more.
7. Actually add gradients to the vectorized crystal shapes
8. Spend wayy too much time on one vector
9. Cry again
10. ???
11. Finish vector
